Note 1: This rifle was purchased at auction in 1992, Halifax, Massachusetts (Back)

Note 2: Receiver and associated components were parkerized rather than having the original blueing of WW I era models Sling attached to this particular rifle is the one inch leather variety. (Back)

Note 3: The initials "J A" represent the Johnson Automatics firm that was employed to re-barrel many M1917's for WWII contingency. This barrel is the two groove variety and is in excellent condition, possibly unfired. Barrel was left "in the white", (or unfinished). (Back)

Note 4: Bayonet made by Remington, 1918. Overall length is 21 7/8". Blade length is 17" (Back)
